Lovely original 1940s Hungarian Peasant Blouse in off-white cream fine cotton or cotton/viscose blend.
Generously hand embroidered in traditional floral patterns around the neckline, bust and sleeves with blanket stitched edges and hand-smocked waist.
The sleeves have a gentle balloon shape.
No fastening but pulls over the head. The smocked waist is slightly elastic.
Made in Hungary.
A few stitches missing in the smocking at the waist and some of the blanket stitched edges is a bit uneven with a few missing stitches. Please see detailed images.
Gently hand washed prior to listing.
