Simply beautiful original vintage late Victorian to Edwardian Deco large fringed shawl / cover in black rayon with a blue ombre floral embroidery.
The embroidery appears handmade but we can't be 100% sure, uneven embroidery lines as found in hand embroidery but looks run-knotted threads as made with machine embroidery.
Either way it’s an impressive item with a huge amount if work gone in to making it.
Heavy item that would be best suited as a decorative home ware item, perfect as a sofa or bed cover.
Mark on the knotting and the fringing is a little curly and tangled but not too knotted, a few loose threads. Please see detailed images.
